YAHSHUA IS HIS NAME ! |
In Bethlehem, of Judea, our Messiah was born. He was born by a Jewish virgin who spoke Hebrew. In the society in which He was born, Hebrew was the common language. Miriam (Mary) was visited by the angel Gabriel who told her that the Child that was about to be born would save His people Israel from their sins. Therefore, His name, would literally reflect this meaning and His mission. The Bible is a Hebrew book given to spirit filled Hebrew writers. Hebrew was the only language spoken for the first 1757 years until the Tower of Babel. The scriptures show us that whenever people were spoken to from Heaven it was always to those who were familiar with or spoke the Hebrew language. For this reason we must conclude that the Hebrew language is the Heavenly language. In (Genesis 10:21-30) we see that the tribes if Shem did not join in the building project at the plains of Shinar (Gen.11:1-4) where the Tower of Babel was built. They dwelled at Mesha at the foothills of Mount Sephar, according to Genisis 10. Therefore, their Hebrew language was not changed. ick here to add your text.Mi As we study these facts before us, we must ask, why do our Bibles call the Savior by the name Jesus, which is neither Jewish or Hebrew. Jesus has no translation in any language. The Greek word for Savior is "soter," while the Latin word for Savior is "salvare." Jesus is a name with no etymlogical meaning. remember that the angel Gabriel said His name would e related to His mission as Savior. So why would a Jewish woman whos language was Hebrew, living in a Jewish community, who had been spoken to by the angel Gabriel, give her Child a Latin-Greek name that bares no meaning as Savior in either language? The fact is Jesus is not His name, and never was. He was never called Jesus in His lifetime. Of the 22 letters in the Hebrew alphabet there has never been an equivalent letter "J". Nor is there any Hebrew letter that carries an approximate sound of the letter "J". There is also no "J" in the Greek alphabet. The letter "J" in our english only appeared 500 years ago. So what was the Saviors name before there was a letter "J"? For fifteen hundred years He was obviously called by another name. Would His Jewish disciples have called Him by a hybrid Greek-Latin name? They were common fishermen that spoke Hebrew. Hebrew speech was translated into Greek by linguists who gave us the record of our Bibles. The Savior clearly stated, "I come in my Fathers name," John 5:43. This means He carried His Fathers name. The meaning is not solely limited to His coming by authority or command of the heavenly Father. Even today family names are passed on from father to son. In the Middle East a name carries far more significance and deeper meaning than names today in our western society. There is a reason our Savior was born in the Middle East society that even today holds one's name in high esteem. Our Savior went on to say that although the people did not receive Him if any other woud come in his own name, him thy would receive. He also states that Moses had written of Him. This is most likely a reference to Exodus 15:2 "Yah....has become my salvation," (Hebrew = Shua, ie, Yahshua). The Savior's name is essentually the same as Joshua (pronounced Yoshua), the son of Nun, Numbers 3:16. Joshua's name was originally Hoshea or Hoshua, but Moses prefixed the short or poetic form of the sacred name, Yah, thus calling him Yahoshua, which means salvation of Yah. According to linguistic authorities, from the Babylonian captivity onward the "O" was dropped and by the time of our Saviors birth the name was no longer Yahoshua, but became Yahshua. Our Savior Yahshua truely came in the name of the Father, because His name means " the salvation of Yah." His name contains the sacred heavenly family name Yah : Yahshua. It is obvious that the scribes went through the King James Bible thoroughly and changed the true name of Yahshua to Jesus. We only have to look at Acts 7:45 and Hebrews 4:8 in the King James Bible where the hybrid "Jesus" erroneously appears. With over zelous intent the name Joshua (Yahshua) the son of Nun had mistakenly been replced with the hybrid Jesus as well. Revisions of the KJV and newer Bible versions have been replaced with the more popular Joshua. Notice that your Bible specifically says there is no other Name. It does not say no other person, which woud allow you to call Him by what ever Name you wish. Yahshua is the only Name by which we have salvation. There is no other Name than Yahshua, which literally means the salvation that Yahveh has sent. Peter gave a very specific command to call on the personal Name given by the Father, Act 2:38, " repent, and let everyone of you be baptized in the Name of Yahshua Messiah for the remission of sins, and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. " Salvation comes through Yahshua the Messiah. Salvation is through Him alone. "neither is there salvation in any other for there is none other Name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." The person of Yahshua is important for sure. But the Name He was given by the angel came from On High and carries a very special meaning for the Savior. it embodies the Name of Yahveh the Father Himsellf. The Name Yah-shua acknowledges both the Father and the salvation that is in His Son Yahshua. When we learn truth, we are to walk obediently in it. Most of us have learned deeper truths in small amounts, than put into practice what we have learned. Yahveh wil only continue to reveal more truth if we accept and follow those things which He has already shown us. Why should Yahveh give more insight to those who reject and rebel at what He has already revealed? Once we know the truth, our past ignorance does not justify our continuing in ignorance and sin. " The times of this ignorance Yahveh winked at, but now commands all men everywhere to repent," Acts 17:30. Yaveh reveals His truth to those who are willing to seek and follow in it. So how did the Sacred Name get changed in our Bible? The concealing of the four letters of the Tetragrammaton (YHWH) representing the Name of the Father first began with the Israelite priests. It was carried further by the ignorance of the early Christian translators. The superstitious Jewish scribes, aware of Lev. 24:16 and other verses that demanded reverance for Yahveh Name, decided that the best way to keep from blaspheming His Name would be to substitute titles instead of calling on the proper Name Yahveh. By never allowing anyone to utter the Sacred Name was, in their thinking, eliminating the potential of blaspheming it. So that no one would vocalize the Name Yahveh, the scribes had placed diacritical marks of the vowels for Adonai over the Hebrew letters for His Name. In fact, the first vowel carried the sound of "e", as in let, so the reader would read Yeh, and not blurt out even the short form, Yah. Theirs was a misguided zeal. The early Christian translators were poor Hebrew scholars. The fact is most were ignorant knowing only Greek and Latin. They refused to learn Hebrew because they wanted nothing to do with the Jews. Therefore they were unable to read the Old Testament in its original language. The main source of information came from the Greek Septuagint translation of the Od Testement and not from the original Hebrew texts. As before stated our Messiah's Name "Yahshua" means the salvation of Yah. Jesus which developed first from the superstitions of the Jewish scribes, and then perpetuated by ignorance of Christian scholars. Yahveh gave Yahshua an exalted Name which is above every name. That at the Name of Yashua every knee should bow....Phil. 23:9-10. The Name Yahveh, given to Mary, by which His Son was to be called is Yahshua. This can be proven in most Bible margin notes in Matt. 1:21 and Luke 1:31. The Bible translaters substituted and disguised the sacred, Holy Name, giving us the Greek-Latin Jesus. Paul says that the entire family of Yahveh will be called by the precious Name of "Yah", Ephesians 3:14-15. Some of the prophets carried His Name such as IsaYah, ObadYah, ZephanYah, ZacharYah, and JeremYah. We are given a specific name by the Father, and by which we will be known. How can anyone ridicule, despise and reject the Name Yahveh now, and then love and reverence it and be called by it in the Kingdom? Name's in the Bible have definate signifigance and meaning, they give us deeper understanding. He has given to us an open door to more of His truths. His Salvation is in the Name of His Son Yahshua. "We are to keep His Word and not deny His Name". Rev. 3:8.Under Heaven there is none other than Yahshua and through Him alone we have salvation. In closing, my wife and I would like to add that the purpose of this page has been to inform and bless, not to condemn. If this is totally new to you, we pray that this information has greatly blessed you and that it has encouraged you to further research His word. If you are among those that know His Name, let us not be harsh, but show others love and grace. Remember at one time we called Him Jesus also. It is our prayer and desire that it does not stop here but goes forth so all will know that His true Name is Yahshua. |
